We are members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Chi Delta Omega Chapter in the beautiful city of Palm Coast, Florida with members from Jacksonville, St. Johns and St. Augustine, Florida. Our official chartering was performed by National President, Dr. Norma S. White and South Atlantic Regional Director, Mrs. Sonja Garcia on July 3, 2002, a day before our 2002 Boule, our National Conference, in Orlando, Florida.
Since that day, Chi Delta Omega Chapter has worked tirelessly in putting the dreams of our Founders in perpetual motion in our community. Through Blazing the Trails and Elevating Service as our Priority, we are committed to prepare and cultivate our focus and energies to the Global Leadership Through Timeless Service for the 2010-2014 tenure of our International President, Dr. Carolyn House Stewart.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. was founded in January 1908 at Howard University in Washington, D.C. It was the first Greek letter organization established by and for African-American college women. In 2008, we celebrated our Centennial Boule in Washington, D.C. with over 25,000 AKA women in attendance. This year we will be celebrating 103 years of sisterhood, scholarship and service.
Our national motto: “Service To All Mankind” starts here in our community as we implement our Program Initiatives: 1.) Emerging Young Leaders, 2.) Health, 3.) Global Poverty, 4.) Economic Security, 5.) Social Justice and Human Rights, and 6.) Internal Leadership Training for External Service. We believe that we must continue to work, serve, teach, love and encourage all of God’s people throughout the world.
